Drawing texture in an easy way

Just look around you right now, and observe the variety of different textures that are within your reach. Walls, glass, the wood of a paintbrush, a rubber cup, the fabric on a sketchbook and I have not mentioned nature yet! Yes, it is NEVER-ENDING! Drawing texture can be a huge theme. Depending on the medium you are using, the result will look very different. Today I will start with an ink pen.

Observing

These are just a few objects that were lying around in my studio, with an interesting texture.

Drawing texture with an ink fine line pen

After drawing a simple ink drawing let’s draw together some texture. Take the time to property look at your object (or use mine) before you start drawing.
I used different fine Uni Pin fine line ink pens. 0.1 and 0.3 mm.
